This is Volunteer Week and the Clarenville Caribous would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all the individuals who donate their time every year to help make the Caribous the successful organization that it is. We would like to extend a bouquet to the members of the Caribous Executive who work tirelessly and often with few words of thanks to ensure the operation of the organization is smooth.
The Clarenville Caribous was shut out by the Bentley Generals this evening in the championship game of the 2013 Allan Cup. Despite the Caribous best efforts, and a stellar performance by goalminder Jason Churchill, the Caribous could not get past Generals goaltender. The Generals defeated the Caribous with a final score of 3-0.
Despite the loss, the Caribous performed well throughout the entire tournament, and making it to the Championship game for the second time in three years is surely an accomplishment. The Clarenville Caribous have once again made the entire province proud with their performance. Chin up by’s – you did us all VERY proud. Congratulations on a well played National tournament.
